Robert Grealis is Chief Executive Officer of Lafferty Group, the leading global specialist provider of industry research, thought leadership services and prestige events for the retail banking and consumer financial services industry for over three decades.
A business graduate, he is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Prior to joining Lafferty, Robert led a very successful consultancy business providing strategic and developmental advice to service sector businesses throughout Europe, including retail banks and prepaid card operators. He has also held a number of CEO and C level positions in the service sector.

Karl Westvig

Group Chief Executive Officer AFB
Karl Westvig co-founded the well-known consumer finance business RCS Group in 1999, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until December 2008. Under his leadership, RCS Group grew to 800 staff and 600,000 customers, with a product line including direct personal loans, home loans, vehicle finance and insurance and private label cards. RCS Group is now the leading provider of independent credit services to retailers in southern Africa, including Botswana and Namibia, with a total book under management of 2.6 billion rand.
Karl is a keen entrepreneur and has co-founded a further five successful businesses under Como Capital. Como Capital invests in start-up businesses with high potential to solve industry problems or disrupt inefficient markets. To date it has made six investments - Redwood Third Party Processing, iTradePro, JobCrystal, Retail Capital, Jabba Connect and DigiFab - in the fields of credit and consumer finance, specialist recruitment and third-party processing/software services.
Karl graduated with an Honours Degree in Business Science (Statistics and Operations Research) from the University of Cape Town. He then went on to work in a number of different industries, including market research, retail consumer finance and general consumer finance. Karl has held positions such as Strategy Manager for Forschini Group Credit Services and general manager - Customer and Risk for Direct Axis. He joined AFB as group CEO in 2012.
At this time Karl heads up AFB Consumer Finance Group where he is building a high value Consumer Finance Business across Africa. It is a group of highly experienced executives who are pioneering Consumer Credit with the Large African Retailers to support their turnover growth and to create a vibrant credit market.

Eugene De Villiers

Managing Director Tenacity Financial Services
Eugene De Villiers is the current Managing Director of Tenacity Financial Services, a company highly regarded for its management of retailer in-store credit card programmes. He has more than 20 years' experience in the finance industry.
Having gained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of South Africa, Eugene also attended Babson College in Boston, studying Strategic Planning and Management in Retailing, as well as the Fashion Retail Academy, where he studied Merchandising and Buying Operations.
Before joining Tenacity Financial Services in 2007, he previously worked with Pepkor, RCS and Nedbank.

Barry Fergus

Former Managing Director Barclaycard
Barry Fergus retired as Managing Director of Barclaycard International in 2004 as a veteran of over 40 years in retail banking, the majority of which was spent in payment cards and the centralised delivery of retail banking products. After leaving Barclaycard, Barry joined the pan-African banking group, Standard Bank - based in Johannesburg, South Africa - serving as Global Head of Cards and as Chairman of Diners Club Africa. During his time at Barclaycard and Standard Bank, Barry was responsible for launching and leading payment card businesses in more than 50 countries across four continents.
Additionally, he has extensive experience as a non-executive director and committee member and has been a member of global strategic boards for VISA, MasterCard and HNC. Barry has extensive experience of both card issuing and acquiring with particular focus on strategy, risk management, and new product launches. Since co-founding Fergus Consulting in 2009, Barry has been working with card industry experts to deliver services to clients throughout the world, including clients in the UK, South Africa, India and the Netherlands.

Managing Director Vanquis Bank
Michael C. Lenora serves as Managing Director of Vanquis Bank. He has 25 years of experience within the financial services industry, with a wealth of expertise in, and knowledge of, the credit cards industry. He joined Vanquis Bank in 2007, having previously spent 17 years at Associates First Capital Corporation where he fulfilled numerous executive roles - many of which focused on credit card operations. Michael previously served as a Senior Advisor to Goldman Sachs, Chief Executive of a Marketing and Technology start-up, Commercial Director at Barclaycard International and a Director of Provident Financial plc.

Michael Lafferty is Chairman of Lafferty Group, an international research, education and publishing house with a worldwide clientele. Michael founded Lafferty Group in 1981 when he left the Financial Times, where he was responsible for banking coverage. He previously worked on the FT's LEX team and the City Desk and was also accountancy correspondent.
Michael is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Lafferty Group occupies a pre-eminent position in banking, providing banks and financial services groups with research, education, intelligence, management roundtables, conferences and councils. Patrick Akinwuntan

Group Executive Director Ecobank
Patrick Akinwuntan joined Ecobank in 1996 and has fulfilled a number of different executive roles within the company, including serving time as its Head of Commercial Banking, Managing Director of eProcess and Executive Director. Patrick has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years. In addition to Barclays, Patrick has worked for Ernst and Young and served as chairman of ACCION Microfinance Bank Limited. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from the Obafemi Awolowo University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA). Patrick is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School's Senior Executive and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

Isayvani Reddy

Head of Card Scheme Management at Standard Bank
Isayvani Reddy currently fulfils the role of Head, Schemes Management at the Standard Bank of South Africa. In her current role she manages the relationships between Standard Bank and the Associations, in particular Visa International and MasterCard. She also has a wide range of experience across the financial and consulting sectors.

Working at the Boston Consulting Group, Isayvani gained extensive experience in business management and strategy working primarily with Financial Services Institutions and Retail Banks in the UK.

She has also held various senior positions over the last 15 years in financial services. At Barclays Bank, she was responsible for Account Management in several African portfolios. At Nedbank she headed up Credit policy for Vehicle and Asset Finance. She started her career at Capital One Financial Services in the US focusing on lending to underserved market segments.

Isayvani has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Kwazulu Natal and has completed the INSEAD MBA Programme (where she was the recipient of both the Greendale and IAF Women's Scholarships) in France & Singapore.

Satrajit Saha

Head of Credit Card Issuance, Barclays Africa
Satrajit is responsible for the overall management of the issuing business, including product lines such as consumer card and commercial issuing. He has been instrumental in doubling the footprint of the Barclays card business in Africa over the last 3 years.

Satrajit brings with him a deep experience in the credit card industry. Prior to Barclays, Satrajit was with Citibank and Deutsche Bank for twelve years, where he served in various roles in the cards businesses. In his last role there, he was responsible for Sales and Co-brand Partnerships for the country. He has also headed the Consumer Bureau for CIBIL the largest credit bureau in India.

He holds a master's degree in business from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
